Dr. Tyson is a board-certified General and Critical Care Surgeon with over 20 years of experience. He now specializes exclusively in vein care and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine.
Venous Medicine
Through his experience in wound care, he took care of many patients with late-stage vein disease and ulcerations, and this led to his involvement in vein care and its treatment. He moved back to the East Coast and has been actively involved in vein care since that time. He is board-certified in General Surgery and Critical Care, is a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine.
Dr. Tyson completed medical school and internship at UMDNJ-SOM, followed by a General Surgery Residency at Brooklyn Hospital Center. He then completed a Trauma/ Critical Care Fellowship at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Pennsylvania. Following this, he worked as a Trauma/ Burn/ Wound/ Vascular surgeon in Missouri for over 20 years.
