Dr. Alford completed her general surgery residency at Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, DC. Following that, Dr. Alford completed fellowship training in vascular surgery at McGill University and a mini-fellowship in Endovascular Surgery at New York Presbyterian Hospital.
After the fellowships, she has treated many patients as a vascular surgeon using radiofrequency ablation and ultrasound guided foam sclerotherapy at Aesthetic Laser and Vein Center. She also worked as a Wound Care Physician at the Center for Advanced Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine at United Medical Center in Washington, DC and at Georgetown University Hospital.
