Who is Dr. Shaun Cole?

Dr. Cole is a board-certified internist with extensive training in internal and emergency medicine. He joined VIP Medical Group’s network of vein specialists to focus on a condition he observed going undiagnosed for years: chronic venous insufficiency (CVI).

His decision to specialize in vein care is both professional and personal. In the BORO Magazine interview, Dr. Cole shared his own experience:

“I was primarily doing emergency and hospitalist medicine, focused on procedures, and I’ve had patients in the past with Chronic Venous Insufficiency. A lot of times they would go years without being properly diagnosed. Years ago I also had a vein issue in one of my legs, so I visited an interventional clinic to get it evaluated and treated.” , Dr. Shaun Cole, Vein Treatment Clinic

What does Dr. Cole offer patients?

Dr. Cole provides comprehensive care for varicose veins, spider veins, and chronic venous insufficiency using minimally invasive techniques. His services include:

  • Ultrasound diagnostics and venous mapping
  • Radiofrequency ablation
  • Sclerotherapy
  • Personalized treatment plans based on thorough evaluation

Treatments typically 30 minutes or less and require little to no recovery time, a significant advancement from traditional vein surgery.

“This field has completely transformed. We now treat CVI through tiny access points instead of big surgeries. Most patients are surprised by how easy the experience is.” , Dr. Shaun Cole

What is the VIP Medical Group standard of care?

Dr. Cole’s approach exemplifies the values that define VIP Medical Group: clinical expertise combined with genuine patient care. In his interview, he emphasized the importance of making patients feel heard:

“People deserve thorough, unrushed care, especially in fields where symptoms can easily be dismissed. I try to give patients the clarity and reassurance that I would want my own family to have.” , Dr. Shaun Cole

This philosophy, treating patients like family, is central to how VIP Medical Group operates across all of our locations and specialties.
